Hi there, hoping someone can help me out.
I recently bought a used 2018 Hyundai Kona, and I absolutely love it so far. However, I’ve noticed an issue when streaming music via Bluetooth. The music stutters, and sometimes it makes a squeak or “beep” sound while playing. Occasionally, the music stops altogether.
When I use Android Auto with my Google Pixel 6 Pro (connected via cable), this issue doesn’t occur at all. I’ve tried removing and re-pairing the device from the Bluetooth list, but the stuttering persists.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I bought a used Hyundai Kona 2018 not long ago. So far I’m really enjoying the car, but I have noticed that when I stream music through Bluetooth, the music skips and sometimes makes a squeak or “beep” sound. It also stops sometimes.
First, check your phone’s software. Make sure your Pixel 6 Pro is up-to-date. Sometimes, software glitches can mess with Bluetooth. Also, try different music apps. If it happens with all of them, it’s probably not the app’s fault.
Next, consider the Kona’s software. If there’s a software update available for the infotainment system, it might be worth a shot. Sometimes, manufacturers release updates to fix these kinds of issues.
If neither of those works, it could be a Bluetooth hardware problem in the Kona. This is less likely, but it’s possible. You might want to visit a Hyundai dealership to have them check it out.
