Hyundai’s are they really that bad

So I just accepted by first job with really good pay, and I’m looking to buy my first new car with a car loan and a down payment. So I’m looking into car brands and I keep coming back to Hyundais I really like the design but I’m not sure if they’re reliable or not. I’ve heard mixed things like the old Hyundais or what’s unreliable then I hear the opposite or don’t buy one buy a Mazda/Toyota/Honda instead so I just don’t know what to believe. I’m really looking for if they are a good candidate for my first car, I’m also looking at Toyotas and Mazdas and also Teslas

They offer a solid factory warranty, but the dealer network is quite lacking. If you keep up with basic maintenance on time, you shouldn’t encounter many issues. However, after 5 years or 100,000 miles, these cars tend to have problems. Make sure to change the oil regularly.

Honda and Toyota have a proven track record, so why take a chance with Hyundai or Kia? No car brand is flawless, but some are definitely better than others.

The dealers in the US are terrible and often try to evade the 10-year warranty. They also seem to have more major recalls than most brands. For instance, my nephew’s engine failed at 70,000 miles, even though he was very diligent with maintenance.

My engine failed at 60,000 miles, and it took three months to get it fixed, but the car still didn’t run properly afterward. I traded it in immediately after that.
