Hyundai's best-selling car – surprised?

I’d buy it if they offered it in the US.

Same here. The US emissions and safety rules keep a lot of cool cars out of the country—not that it’s all bad. Import taxes are probably the biggest issue though, and that’s definitely frustrating.

I’ve seen a few Kei trucks here, but they aren’t street legal, which is strange since rail buggies, golf carts, and ATVs are allowed on the roads.

Kei trucks are actually road legal in most states. Only a few states made them illegal, but Massachusetts recently reversed their decision, so they’re legal there again.

The chicken tax ruined our chances of getting any ‘small’ trucks. They get a 25% tariff before normal markups and taxes, thanks to domestic automakers lobbying to keep the tax in place. They know people wouldn’t pay $50k-100k for their trucks if smaller, cheaper options were available. I’d love a small truck for hauling motorcycles or making junkyard runs.

It’s called the Kia Bongo in some places, I think.

This shows you don’t need a big truck for it to be useful. I’d love to have something like this.

The huge trucks we see today aren’t that practical. They’re dangerous to pedestrians and other cars, hard to load, and just seem like an over-the-top display.

These trucks are actually pretty big, just without the huge tires. They’re somewhere between a Toyota Hilux and a small lorry.

Excuse my 80s slang, but that would be rad!

It’s for the same market that Ford targets with the F-150.
