Hyundai's new RN24 EV... anyone else excited?

Did anyone catch Hyundai’s N Day event? They rolled out the RN24, a high-performance EV prototype! It’s got this crazy compact design with tech from their rally cars. I’m not an expert, but it sounds like a game-changer for EVs. Anyone else following Hyundai’s N lineup?

Yup, I saw it! The RN24 looks wild! Love how they mixed rally tech with EV power. Finally something sporty and electric that’s not a Tesla lol.

Right? The rally suspension and all that adjustable stuff… feels like they’re trying to make it a real track beast. Think they’ll actually produce it?

@Alex
IDK, might just be a concept but they’ve used tech from previous labs in production cars. Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:.

@Alex
Wait, what’s rally suspension? I’m lost lol.

It’s like super stiff suspension made for rough terrain, so in this case, it probably means the car can handle sharp turns and bumps better. WRC cars have it too!

The e-Handbrake sounds cool! I heard they used it at a rally? Makes the car lighter by ditching the usual hydraulic brakes.

Yeah, and it’s all controlled electronically, so it’s like… instant braking power. Smart move for weight reduction!

Whoa, how does an e-Handbrake work? Is it different from regular handbrakes?

@TheOneHyundaiGuru
Instead of physical brakes, it uses the motor to slow you down. Pretty neat tech that saves weight and might handle better.

The design is hardcore with that exoskeleton roll cage. Gives it that rally car look! Not just for show, I think it helps with stability too.

Definitely, that cage design isn’t just for looks! Keeps the car stable at high speeds. Hyundai really went all out.

@StevenMiller
Plus it makes the car safer, right? Good for protecting drivers if they ever take this thing off-road.

Did anyone else notice the sound system they added? Side speakers and a soundbox in the fender… wonder if it’s just for hype or if it actually adds to the driving experience.

I think it’s part of that immersive driving feel they’re going for. N Active Sound+ gives it a real engine vibe, kinda makes up for the lack of engine noise.

It’s probably to help with that ‘racing feel’ for drivers used to gas engines. EVs can be a bit too quiet lol.

The whole high-performance EV thing is cool, but IDK if this compact, rally-inspired setup is practical for everyday use. Thoughts?

Probably not super practical, but that’s the fun of it! Not everyone needs this, but it’s great Hyundai is pushing EV limits for enthusiasts.

True, this one’s more for EV fans who like a thrill. Most people will stick with regular IONIQs, I’d guess.
