I had some issues with my new Santa Fe Calligraphy, but I finally got it back after nearly 4 months in the shop. I really love it

Looks awesome. I see you changed the wheels and added winter tires. Does it feel different compared to the original ones? Are those Hyundai branded red caliper covers? I couldn’t find them on any parts site with a search. They look sharp. Could you share a link or tell me where you got them?

@Brown
I’m happy to share. They are MGP caliper covers, and I don’t notice any difference in the ride with the winter wheels

Which winter tires did you choose?

@Brown

Where did you get your rims and tires? I’m also from Ontario and need to buy some when my car arrives

@Brown
I bought them at the Hyundai dealership :slight_smile:

How much did they charge? Which city?

Thanks! I was one of the unlucky ones who had a major transmission failure at only 1100 km, and my doors wouldn’t lock

Yeah, they kept mine for two and a half months, but my doors would lock. :joy:

I hope they covered your car payments for 4 months. That’s ridiculous

We tried, but it was a hard no from them

I’m having a transmission issue with my Mazda CX-90, and Mazda is buying it back and covering all of the depreciation. With a 4 month repair time, you would have likely qualified for a lemon law claim. Just saying, make some noise

Unfortunately, we don’t have lemon laws here in Ontario. We fought for four months with Hyundai Canada, the dealership we bought it from, and anyone else we could reach. That vehicle should have never left the lot, and honestly, it shouldn’t have left the factory. It wouldn’t have passed the PDI if they even did one. Their final answer, while we waited for it to be returned, was that it’s now fixed and they had a loaner car for us

What problems kept your Santa Fe in the shop for four months?

As soon as we took it home, we noticed the doors wouldn’t lock (who thinks to check that before leaving the lot? We definitely will in the future). Then, just two days later, the transmission failed. Out of 126 days, we only had it for 15 days

@StellarisSeeker
Wow :scream: that’s been quite the experience with a brand new Hyundai. I’ve been considering the new Santa Fes, but with so many issues, I’m unsure if I want to stick with Hyundai or look at other brands. My current car has been fine so far, but the more I read, the more worried I get. Congratulations on your new Santa Fe, and I hope you have many trouble-free years ahead! Enjoy!

What a wild title…
