Is my 2018 Tucson really a mom car?

I’m 23 and unmarried. I bought my Tucson used in 2023 and now my friends are calling it a ‘mom car.’ Do you think it’s a mom car? I still feel pretty cool driving it.

It’s not a mom car, but your friends are probably just jealous.

Every car could be a ‘mom car’ unless it’s a Porsche 911 GT3.

Then that would be a grandpa car. :joy:

I had a friend in high school who was a drummer. His first car was a station wagon, which is the ultimate mom car. It fit his drum kit and was exactly what he needed. He was really happy with it. You should just enjoy your ride.

Give them $2 and tell them to take the bus.

Well, compared to this, your Tucson is definitely not a mom car. At least you can get the N-Line trim, which is pretty cool.

We call ours the doggy wagon. It’s a dog mom car if you want it to be. No kids needed.

I got mine in black. I debadged the rear and put limo tints on the back windows. Looks really nice. I always get compliments on it. I’m a dad of 3, so I guess ‘mom car’ applies to me, but I won’t call it a dad car. I’ll be upgrading soon to something more family-friendly but still sporty.

It’s not a mom car, especially with white interior.

What do your friends drive, a 2008 Honda Accord? Your Tucson is a decent size SUV for city driving.

They actually don’t have cars, haha.

It’s a Hyundai SUV, designed to be a family car. I’m a dad of 2, and it works great for me.

I’m 29, and I feel cool in mine too. It makes me feel more mature and responsible on the road.

We got ours because we’re expecting a little one, but I liked the car before we even thought about kids. It’s still a cool ride.

I’m 46 and a mom, but my 2024 Tucson doesn’t make me feel like a mom. If anything, it makes me feel cool. My younger staff think it’s a cool vehicle, too. One of them said it was the nicest car they’d ever been in when I gave them a ride home.

Mom cars are the best. They’re comfortable and they get decent gas mileage.

Very true. My Tucson gets great mileage.

I’m 39 with no kids, and my Tucson is definitely not a mom car.
