Parked while my wife enjoys the kids Halloween parade, then someone does this. It’s frustrating, we just got it back after an issue with the door and now this hit and run. Why do people have to be this way
That won’t be cheap to fix. There’s a sensor close to the damage. I hope your deductible isn’t too high

The sensor seems fine

I can confirm, the sensor is fine and the camera is working great. Thanks for mentioning it, I didn’t even notice
I totally understand your frustration, I had a similar thing happen with my Sonata, it’s like new cars attract careless drivers

This is why I split my time between my new car and my older one
@JakeHyundaiJourney
I remember having an older Outback that got scuffed, I just laughed it off. Now I’m about to sell my Elantra to get an Elantra N, but I’m worried about someone scratching it in this last month
Oh man, that’s rough
I have a 23 Niro and faced the same issue. I thought the sensor was damaged, but thankfully it wasn’t. The repair cost around $2,100
Try using a polishing kit to buff out most scratches. If they are too deep, use 1500 grit sandpaper going vertically with the scratch. Once smooth, switch to 2000-3000 grit for a fine finish, then spray paint it using normal steps. Sorry this happened to you, it’s frustrating when people don’t own up to their mistakes
Consider getting dashcams

Nextbase has a good model
You should consider moving out of your town
The thing about new cars is they quickly lose that new feeling after you buy them
