Love my 2024 Santa Fe but

Yesterday, I woke up and my Santa Fe was completely dead. I got a jump, and as soon as it was connected to the jump box, it started right away. I let it run for a while, and it seemed fine. But this morning, it was dead again. I got another jump and took it to the dealership. They did battery diagnostics and said the issue was a glitch with the tailgate draining the battery. After getting home, I tried to start it again, but it was dead once more. Now it’s back at the dealership. Has anyone else had this problem? I don’t use the digital key—I disabled it a few weeks ago. This is my Santa Fe.

I love the color on that vehicle!

Thanks! I saw it and immediately said, “I want that one!!!”

Sorry, not happened to me in 7 months. Digital keys enabled, midnight ventilation enabled, and mirrors unfold a million times a day as I walk around my front porch. Battery is fine.

“Midnight ventilation”?

@Tracy
He is talking about an air circulation function to keep the cabin air fresher. That’s one of the options in the user interface.

That’s right.

The steering wheel camera feature is ridiculous. To be fair, I do not own a Santa Fe. I had it for a rental for a week, with a lot of interstate driving. The safety feature was disengaged; however, it would cancel cruise control if I put my hand at the 12 o’clock position.

@Luchivya
I totaled my new Santa Fe and this is the only thing holding me back from buying the same car. I drove with one hand over the top, and it irritates the hell outta me.

I’ve heard you can disable it in Canada, but not US models—wtf?

I feel ya. I had continuous issues with my hybrid SEL. It sucks when you have a new car with issues.

Hopefully Hyundai sorts it out for you.

Exactly! It’s very annoying and a turn-off. This is my 3rd Santa Fe. I had a 2020 and 2022 previously and never had issues. Hoping the dealership does the right thing.

Love the Hampton Gray and I don’t have this issue. We had the car for 2 months and we love it.

Happened to me once. Not sure what caused it.

My 2025 hybrid had a small scratch & the leather seat trim was too short. Now in the dealership, getting the leather cover replaced. No mechanical or electrical issues. Although, when opening the trunk, it has a loud clunk. Does your trunk have that loud clunk every time you open?

Update the software. I had the same issue with my new 2023 Santa Fe. Link to support.
