How fast is this thing? How does it handle?

300 hp; it’s fun to drive handles decent but wheel spin is insane.

@C.cole3
By wheel spin, do you mean you’re constantly peeling out when you accelerate from a full stop?

Not OP, but pretty much. I have a 24 N Line, and since it doesn’t have a limited slip and comes stock on all season tires, you can really get the front tires spinning if you want to.

If you don’t turn down the RPMs during launch control, it’s all wheel spin.

@Rowen
Gotcha. By downturning RPM, do you mean pressing down on the gas very slowly until we can feel the wheel catch the road, or did you mean paddle shifting it from park to 2nd?

When launch control is active, you can adjust the hold RPMs from the steering wheel.

Once you’ve got the right settings in the car, you press the gas and brake at the same time. This will activate launch control and will hold the engine at a certain RPM. If you don’t turn it down a bit before you let off of the brake, you get a lot of wheel spin at the start.

@Rowen
Whoa that’s super interesting. Didn’t know the launch pad was a thing.

Would you recommend this car?

I love mine. As a midsized sedan, it’s great. And when you add the N Line performance upgrades, it’s almost impossible to find a competing vehicle at that price point.

Just be comfortable with the fact that you’re buying a Hyundai. If you skip any maintenance, you’re probably in for some major issues in the future.
