Purchased this 2007 Hyundai Elantra for $200 with 283k miles from previous owner.
So far, I have put in:
-Timing belt kit
-Spark plugs
-Motor mount
-Outer tie rods
-Inner tie rods
-Sway bar end links
Maintenance items so far:
-5W-30 Mobil 1 High Mileage
-Hyundai transmission fluid drain and fill
-Alignment
Still not perfect but loving it so far.
Great, what is total cost? And where you locate?

Did you do that work yourself? The extent of my mechanical ability is adding gas to the tank and air to the tires.

@Delilah
I did not, I had a mechanic neighbor that was very reasonable on labor.

There was a same generation Elantra hit a million kms (621k miles) not too long ago. These things go forever
Save your money, you’ll be spending more on repairs.
LETSSS GOOOO A SALLYY!! (I named my '08 Elantra Sally, lmfao) she’ll do you good as you take care of her fr >:3

Why did you buy it if it had 283K miles on it?
My sister got her '07 Elantra when she was 18. She’s 29 now, and it’s still kicking it with over 200k on it. My '08 gave me a scare the other day, but it was salvageable. If you take care of them, they last forever.

Previous owner… I don’t think you can claim ownership on stolen property.
