A 2012 Volkswagen Routan. The driver only had a learner’s permit. I tried asking their friend for their license, but they wouldn’t give it.

That’s awful. Did the other driver at least stop? When I got rear-ended in September, the guy drove off, and I was stuck with a $15k repair bill for front and rear damage, plus medical claims.

They did stop but only gave me their learner’s permit. Their passenger refused to give her license, so technically, they weren’t even legally accompanied.

If I’d gotten proper info like that, my insurance wouldn’t have been stuck with the costs. That’s so frustrating.
So sorry this happened. I’m glad you’re alright though. Feels like there are so many stories like this lately. Do people just not care anymore?
