Struggling with Gas Mileage in My New2024 Kona

I agree. I have a 2024 Kona. I came from a 2022 Elantra, and my Elantra was great on gas. The Kona feels like a gas guzzler. I can’t wait for my lease to be over.

I wish I would have gone with the Tucson now.

@Amelia
The regular gas Tucson wouldn’t do any better. Can you track your mpg? That would be a lot more telling about what’s going on. For city driving, you can expect 27 mpg, but that can drop if you’re driving aggressively or in hilly areas. And 29 mpg on the highway for the AWD model will seem terrible compared to the Elantra’s 40 mpg.

They’re not super economical, but you should be able to get between about 500 km and 650 km range (~310 mi to 400 mi). FWD vs AWD, 2.0 vs 1.6T can make a difference. No, it’s not generally as economical as the Elantra.

I have Exactly same issue with my new Kona AWD 2.0L, it’s driven now around 800KM only and it’s take 11 L/100,

These numbers are so bad because i hade the same KONA before the 2022 module for 3 years driven for 90000 KM and my average about 7.9, Now the same engine and specs for 11 L/100.

I am very sure there’s something wrong
