My 2016 Hyundai Accent 1.6L GDI broke two of the four connector plastic tabs when I put new spark plugs.
Has anyone bought part number 27350-2B000 for this wiring component and taken the connector off to fix the one on the wiring harness?
The coil plug connectors seem to be a part of the main wire harness, however it’s hard to see if the plug in front goes to the coil packs or enters through the main harness because of the plastic cover covering it.
I had a similar issue with my 2016 Hyundai Accent when I was replacing the spark plugs and accidentally broke a couple of the plastic tabs on the connectors. I looked into part number 27350-2B000, but before buying it, I tried to see if I could fix the connectors on the wiring harness myself. It was tricky because, like you mentioned, the coil plug connectors are part of the main harness, and it’s hard to tell where everything goes with the plastic cover in the way. I ended up carefully removing the plastic cover to get a better view and managed to reattach the connectors securely enough to avoid any issues. If you’re not comfortable doing this, it might be worth getting a second opinion or seeing if you can find a replacement connector that doesn’t require messing with the entire harness.
Breaking those connector tabs is a common frustration. Replacing the whole connector (part number 27350-2B000) is a good option.
It’s tough to see behind that plastic cover, but careful inspection might reveal if the plug goes directly to the coil packs or through the main harness.
You could try removing the cover cautiously to get a better look. If you’re not comfortable with DIY, a trusted mechanic can help you navigate this electrical maze.
