I’m looking at getting a 2022 Palisade Limited. Are there any big differences between the 2022 and the newer 2023-2025 models? I noticed there was a front-end redesign in 2023 with a bigger infotainment system. Is there any reason I should avoid a 2022? Would love to hear your thoughts.
2022 stands out because it’s the last year before the refresh. The 2023 model got updates like a new front and rear design, new wheels, and some interior tweaks. They upgraded the infotainment from 10.25" to 12.3", added USB-C charge-only ports, and improved the voice control features. Lane following assist became available outside of cruise control, and you can now pick the instrument cluster theme instead of it being tied to the drive mode.
For the Limited trim, 2023 lost the Nappa leather seats, but gained a heated third row. They also removed ambient lighting but brought it back in 2024. Another addition was HDA 2, which helps with lane changes. The drivetrain is consistent across all these years.

Is it weird that I like the look of the pre-refresh front and the rims on the 2022 Limited? I’m planning to check them out at a dealership later today. Either way, coming from a 2013 Ford Escape, a 2022 Palisade will be a huge upgrade. I’m not too fussed about the size of the infotainment screen as long as I can connect my phone to it.
It’s interesting that some features were removed for 2023 and then brought back. Honestly, it sounds like I wouldn’t be missing out on too much with the 2022.
I had a 2022 Limited and really liked it. Now I have a 2024 Night Edition. They made some tweaks, like better driver assist, auto up/down windows on the rear, and overall it rides quieter than my '22.
I have a '22 Calligraphy, and I absolutely love it! That said, I’m planning to trade up to a 2025. But I also prefer the rims on the '22.

Why not wait another 9 months and get a 2026?
@Christine
A few reasons. I like the current style, and I’m not a fan of the new Santa Fe look, which might be the future design direction. Plus, my current car is under 45k miles and is worth more now, meaning I’ll have less to finance. We also want to get the 10-year/150k warranty for peace of mind. I just retired, and I’m looking to avoid any worries about issues. (I wanted to get the extended warranty for my current car, but the dealership changed the price and terms, so it didn’t happen).

Got it, that makes sense! Also, getting the first year of a new model isn’t always the best idea, so waiting might push you to mid-2026 for the second-year model.
