I test-drove the 2025 Santa Fe yesterday and really liked it. I’ve read plenty of reviews, but I’d love to hear from people who actually own one. Any thoughts or experiences you could share would be very helpful.
I bought one just two days ago, and it’s hands down the best car I’ve ever owned. I’ve been taking random drives just to have an excuse to start it again. If you can, go for the Calligraphy trim—it’s stunning.
@CatherineRivers
Haha, I do the same thing. Can’t stop driving it just for fun.
I got mine on November 9th, a 2025 Calligraphy fresh off the delivery truck. I absolutely love it—probably my favourite car so far, which is funny because I’ve always gone for luxury brands. No issues so far, and the ride is incredibly smooth and spacious.
You should definitely test drive the hybrid version. It gets 36 mpg and has fantastic torque with a super smooth powertrain. Don’t overlook it.
We got a Calligraphy gas version in April. Did a 4000-mile road trip to Florida and back without a single issue. We’ve put 7500 miles on it so far, and it’s been great. City gas mileage is decent, and as a family of five, we’re very happy with it.
P.S. It does beep quite a bit.
@Maverick
Most of the beeping can be turned off or adjusted in the settings. Shouldn’t be a dealbreaker.
@Maverick
What’s with all the beeping? Thanks for the heads-up.

Things like blind spot monitors and cross-traffic alerts. Unfortunately, you can’t disable all of them.
I have a 2024 gas AWD XRT with just over 5000 miles. Love it! Took it on a few long road trips, and it was super comfortable. The third row came in handy a couple of times, especially for short trips when we didn’t want to take two cars. Haven’t enjoyed a car this much in years.
@malawi
That sounds great .
I have the 2025 Limited gas version (FWD) with just over 3000 miles. It’s a fantastic car! I keep getting compliments on how smooth and quiet the ride is—people even mistake it for an electric car sometimes.
I’ve put over 10,000 miles on my 2024 XRT. It’s been amazing.
Had mine for a few months now (AWD Limited), and it’s been awesome overall. My only complaints are the auto start-stop feature that you have to disable every time and a slight lag when accelerating from a stop. Other than that, it’s a fantastic vehicle.
There are several discussions on this forum about the 2024 and 2025 Santa Fe models. Try searching for those, too.
We’ve had a 2021 model and absolutely love it. It’s perfect for carrying both stuff and people, but the ride quality is the best part—quiet, smooth, and effortless.

Thanks for sharing .
I’ve got 5000 miles on mine. Had a transmission issue, but Hyundai replaced it quickly. That’s been resolved now, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Just keep in mind that DCTs need to be driven a bit differently in traffic. Overall, it’s a beautiful, spacious car, and I get lots of compliments on the design.
@Nadia
Thanks for the info .
I don’t have the 2024 or 2025, but we’re really happy with our 2023 Calligraphy FWD. If I could go back, I’d get the same trim but skip the sunroof.
