My wife has our Tucson out running errands, and I checked the app to see where the car is. I got a message that I wasn’t expecting. Has anyone else seen this message before?
Just an update: when I refresh the app now, I no longer see the 12V warning. Instead, I get messages saying “the app is taking longer than normal to respond” or “the app is unable to connect to the server.”
I see this message on my Android phone, but not on my kid’s iPhone. I have a 2021 Tucson, and it’s not a hybrid. This started happening after a recent app upgrade.
Same error on my end but my car hasn’t been used for 8 months.
Do you have an android phone? Someone else posted this error on an android phone but not on an iPhone
I wish I had received that message or had paid more attention if I did. I’m not sure if this was your situation or if it was something else:
I came back from a 12-day trip to find my parked 2024 Hybrid car dead. I vaguely remembered the sales guy telling me to remotely start the car if it was going to sit for a week. Luckily, it was parked in my friend’s garage, so I didn’t have to deal with bad weather or a sketchy parking lot.
It took a while, but I figured out how to open the door, reset the battery, and start the car. I drove it for about 30 minutes, and everything was fine.
Apparently, this is to prevent the 12V battery from draining, so you’ll have enough power to restart it. Next time, I’ll try to start it every 2-3 days.
