I’m curious about the sales between these two vehicles over the last few years. Which one has more sales and used car purchases
According to Hyundai’s website, Tucson has sold over 50k more than any other model in 2023. Santa Fe and Elantra follow in second and third. The Santa Fe was ahead in 2022 but this year the Elantra is slightly ahead for second place.
Haven’t seen the 2024 sales numbers from them yet. If they posted them, I missed it
You can find sales figures for both on GoodCarBadCar
I don’t have exact numbers but I see more Tucsons than Santa Fes in my city. They are cheaper which makes sense to me
I owned a 2011 Santa Fe and thought about getting another one, but the new models are much larger and boxier than mine. So I went for a Tucson instead, which is also bigger now, and my family of 4 has enough space in it
In my city, the Tucson has far more sales compared to the Santa Fe
I had a 2018 Tucson Limited AWD and couldn’t wait to get rid of it. After a long road trip, it felt really uncomfortable. I now drive a 2020 Santa Fe and just finished a long trip in it. It’s comfy and I don’t think I’ll want to drive anything else
Usually, the Hyundai Santa Fe gets more sales than the Tucson. Being a bigger SUV with more seating and features, it usually appeals to families and people who need more space.
I’ve seen mixed opinions here But those are my thoughts

That’s the issue with AI responses, they’re not always reliable.
Tucson has significantly better sales
@GoslingManstein
Santa Fe sales are higher in North America, EU, and Asia, while the Tucson is more popular in the US and UK

The link I posted is based on US sales where the Tucson outsells the Santa Fe by about 50k units annually.
I didn’t look at every single country’s data, but Tucson is topping the sales in the US, UK, Canada, Europe and South Korea. I haven’t found a place where the Santa Fe does better, possibly China but I can’t find that data.
Here’s the source from Hyundai for UK sales Strong UK sales figures sign off exceptional first half of 2023 for Hyundai UK

It doesn’t bother me. I’m just correcting the misinformation from GPT so the person who posted this gets the right answer.
I apologize if this bothers you.
@GoslingManstein
That’s for the US, I think GPT was referring to worldwide sales

I can find global sales for Tucson but not for Santa Fe. It seems unlikely that the Santa Fe does better when Tucson is ahead everywhere that matters.

Or for people who have big pets
