The first picture shows the windshield with rain, and the second one is after I wiped it. Do any of you also have bad visibility when it gets wet? It doesn’t even take a lot of water. I’m thinking of trying Rain-X to make it better. What’s your experience with it?
Your wiper blades might be dirty. Try wiping them down with an alcohol pad.
Yep, Rain X is the fix, I usually do about 3 coats. Also, their car wash soap is great, no need to dry, and no water spots.

I thought it would be better since it’s a new car! Time to get to work.

I know, right? Mine hasn’t been in the rain yet. It’s still in the shop, waiting for a new transmission after 5 weeks.
I’m having the same issue. I think it might be a bad wiper.

The wipers seem fine, but the rain builds up and causes more blurring than on my other cars.
Try cleaning your windshield with glass cleaner and newspaper, not paper towels. Then use Rain X.

I’m not using newspaper on my car, that’s crazy.

It’s not crazy, it works really well. Detailers use it all the time.

You should be using microfiber cloths, not newspaper.
Rain looked fine after a wipe. I’ve got a Palisade, it’s 18 months old (my baby lol), and I think I need to replace the wipers soon.

The wipers work well, but the rain builds up in a way that blocks my view more than my other cars.
@Unclewaffl3s
You can also get RainX window washer fluid.

I had Aquapel applied at a windshield shop. I also wash my car at a coin car wash, use the high-pressure wax rinse, and dry it with a towel. Works like a charm. Rain-X is great too, but here’s what I’ve noticed:
- Aquapel lasts 6-8 months.
- Rain-X needs reapplying every 1-2 months.
- The wax from the car wash lasts a few months. I wash my car every 2-3 weeks and reapply the wax.
Clean your wipers regularly, even if they’re new. I change mine every 12-18 months.

Get some RainX or something similar.

Clean and polish your windshield with auto glass polish, then apply Rain-X or Aquapel.
