Anyone else notice low tire pressure even after adding air

At first, two tires showed low around 24-26. I filled all tires to 30-31 and now three show low? This doesn’t make sense and I’ve driven for a day or two but haven’t been on the highway. Any ideas on how to reset this?

Just drive a bit… it should update

Exactly I thought my tires were an issue but it updated after about 2 miles

It won’t reset until the tires are properly inflated. Check your tires, but the recommended PSI is likely around 37 or 38

But it says 35 on the driver’s door, isn’t that the recommended PSI

@Umbrielle
It really depends on the car and its tires. For my '25 Elantra N, it’s 36 PSI in front and 34 PSI in the back. I thought that was odd too but confirmed with the door sticker

@Umbrielle
I go by what the tire says. If it’s at 35, that’s what needs to be filled before the pressure sensors reset

No tire says the recommended PSI, they just show the max PSI

The tire shows a max of around 55 PSI. It doesn’t tell you the pressure recommended for the car - that’s the vehicle manufacturer’s job. Usually, it’s around 33 or 35 PSI

@KonaKing
Learning something new every day I’m 49 and always went by the tire info But you’re right Thanks for the info

I usually fill mine to 39 They register low around 31

I’m exhausted just by breathing

It should be 35 PSI

I really can’t believe how complicated this is for some people

Mine usually updates after a short drive

I think you need to be above 32 for the light to turn off. You have to drive a mile or two for the light to go out as well. 35 is the typical recommended pressure

I had an issue where all my tires were about the same PSI but two showed low

Check the recommended tire pressures on your driver’s door sill. It’s probably still a bit low

Check your driver’s side door sill There’s a label with the pressure info I bet 30-31 isn’t enough Mine are 35 PSI on a 2020 Sonata Limited

They probably need to be at 35, 30 is too low and won’t turn off the warning
