How do I switch to manual gears?

Hi guys, proud owner of 2025 model of Hyundai Tucson here :slight_smile:

Still trying to understand how to switch to manual gears, which are available as you can see. I’ve read through the manual and couldn’t find anything, even more surprisingly I couldn’t find anything on internet/YT…Does anybody know and can enlighten me?

You read your owner’s manual.

Very helpful, thank you very much… I think? :thinking:

Press + - + - + - + horn + - + - brake pedal. Now you activated developer mode.

Ah shit I messed up the combo move. Now I’ll never beat the boss level.

Yes, those Konami codes are a hell of a pain… :smile:

Sounds crazy, but check out the PDK reset sequence for Porsches. Weird thing is, it really does work - my 911 drove like new after I did it.

@evanderjay
Yep, I knew my smart fortwo 451 got a similar coding for resetting the gas pedal. Or for resetting on a Renault Trafic transporter my mechanic got to do some kind of dancing in the car for resetting the oil change sequence…

Driver window up, passenger window up, Driver window down, passenger window down, paddle left, paddle right, paddle left, paddle right, hill assist, auto hold, HORN.

I was about to press the brake pedal to finish the combo but I crashed! Now I need to buy a new car and start again… oh actually, wait, I saved my progress before the combo!! :tada:

Just hit one of the paddles. To switch back to normal automatic just hit the drive button.

To switch back you can also hold the plus paddle for a second or two; it will then switch to ‘D’.

@MarkJones
Yeah, this scared me while driving. I accidentally pressed one of them while driving and didn’t know how to switch back to automatic. Would be nice to be able to disable them.

“Accidentally” we all know you were pretending to be a race car driver…

Why would you buy a car with paddle shifters if you planned to disable them…

@HyundaiRevolution
There wasn’t an option to remove them at the dealership, that’s why.

@MarkJones
I don’t think that’s a thing for my N. but never tried it. Guess eco models are different.

I also have an N-Line, it’s the same.

I tried this and didn’t work, the missing thing is ‘switch to sport mode’ apparently! :slight_smile:

Do you mean shift to D on stick? I don’t think Hyundai has any D button; I’m planning to buy my first automatic and did some test drives but didn’t notice any D button. Except D on stick.
