I can’t stop thinking how much this key resembles the Camry 40
It’s the same ‘egg’ key for me too.
The key from the 2023 model was better than the 2024 version. I really dislike the new key.
I feel the same way. My 2024 Elantra key is similar. I’m a delivery driver and keep the key in my pocket, regularly pressing the lock and unlock buttons through my sweatpants. Not only does the key’s shape make it unclear which way is up, but the buttons aren’t raised, so I can’t feel where they are. It feels like cheap plastic, which reminds me of the vehicle’s interior. I never had this issue with my Ford key.
I hope they change that key fob design with the next models. That thing is ugly.
It seems like they tried to mimic the Hyundai logo, but that doesn’t seem to have worked.
I spent $47k on a 2024 Santa Fe, and it came with the same key… I kind of like it. There’s way less chance of accidentally pressing the panic button compared to my 2022 Mazda key. Plus, I think that blue-ish color is cute.
But the buttons make an H for Hyundai!
I’m unsure if anyone actually likes it. Some tolerate it because of the H logo. The one I have is gray and black, but it does look slightly better with the blue tint that resembles glass or crystal.
Well, this seems to be the common sentiment among current Hyundai owners, lol. At least it’s not a tiny key fob like Honda’s or a plain one like Jeep’s.
It’s true
I have a 2022 Tucson and the key fob looks way better and is of better quality.
My wife said the key is cute. I’m thinking, are you a man?
It looks terrible, and the quality is even worse. In a year, you will notice how much the paint will wear off.
It’s just a key fob at the end of the day.
It’s awful! Huge, feels cheap, and scratches easily. I got a cover for mine even though I mostly use the smartphone key now.
I have the same key with my Elantra from 8-9 months ago.
I don’t mind the shape but I’m not a fan of the cheap plastic casing.
Why does it seem like they’re making key fobs uglier and bulkier? It’s becoming embarrassing
