Partly Finished … New Wheels and Tires, Spacers and Lift to Come?

New wheels and all-weather tires on. Will be adding spacers and possibly a lift after a bit more research.

Looks tough! I like how the wheels are close to the originals. Would you mind posting the size of the tires? I’m thinking about driving on the beach but haven’t tried it with low profile tires. I’m not sure if I want to give it a go. I would’ve liked the extra clearance of the XRT, but I really like all the extra features. So I’m curious to see how your lift goes.

@Atkinston
We skipped the bells and whistles for the XRT because we wanted the higher clearance and AWD. I had to let go of some favorite features like cooling seats and electric seat adjustments on the passenger seat, but it’s been fine. I really enjoy the ride .

Looks great. I’m excited to hear how the spacers and lift turn out, I’m thinking of doing the same.

Inspirational bruv .

Wow, those tires are huge! I’ve already lifted my hybrid calligraphy, but I didn’t think I could fit tires that big. How bad is the rubbing? Is it constant or occasional? Where exactly does it rub? Only the inside edge, or all over?

What’s the wheel specs?

They are posted below in another post but I’ll post again.

Absolutely loving this look .

I think they’d look even better if they were a bit taller. Do you know if lifting it will affect the warranty?

Looking into it. That’s my only concern. This change didn’t affect the warranty, and neither will the spacers.

I just added the AWD package to the Calligraphy and it’s the best of both worlds. Once I lift and add the tires, it’ll do most of what the XRT can. But it only pulls 3500 vs 4500 with the XRT.

I also added the AWD package for the same reason and I was a bit worried the turbo would spin the front wheels if it were just FWD. The Santa Fe is probably heavy enough for that not to be an issue.

Right? I got the AWD drivetrain but wanted the Calligraphy. It’ll do great in snow, mud, and sand. It’s just not built for true off-roading or rock climbing.

Specs coming soon.

Absolutely no rubbing! My mechanic made sure of it, as that was my main concern. Everything got realigned, and I can’t tell there’s any difference.

That’s awesome. What’s the offset on your new wheels?

@HyundaiEnthusiast
When the spacers are on, it’ll be 3 inches. The lift will be 1 1/2”. I’ll post when it’s done.

How are you getting a 3” lift with 1.5” spacers on a calligraphy? I see your tire size is only half an inch larger in diameter than stock.
